My Favorite *Easy* Thanksgiving Recipes
Our family is so excited for some time off of work, great food and quality time with the family. Although, no matter what your Thanksgiving plans may be, it can get hectic in the kitchen! Whether you typically cook all the food or are looking to contribute a side dish, saving time is always a plus. Here are a few easy recipes for some Thanksgiving classics!

Sweet Potato Casserole Ingredients Sweet Potatoes
Walnuts and Almonds
Old Fashioned Oats
Ginger
Garlic
Fresh Rosemary, Sage, Thyme
Olive Oil, Salt and Pepper
Your going to start by baking the sweet potatoes in the oven. While those are baking, grab the oats, nuts, herbs, garlic, maple syrup, olive oil, salt, and pepper and put them into a in a food processor until just combined. Once the potatoes are cooked, peel and blend them with a milk of your choosing, olive oil, ground ginger, and salt. Finally, just spread your sweet potato mixture into a casserole dish, add your crumble topping and bake on 425 degrees until brown!
Turkey Gravy Ingredients: Turkey Drippings
All Purpose Flour
Now this one is as easy as it gets! Grab all of the left over turkey drippings and pour them through a fine mesh strainer into a small pot. Add in flour at an 8:1 ratio (¼ cup flour for every 2 cups drippings) and whisk over medium heat until thickened. Not only do you now have a delicious homemade gravy, you are able to utilize so much of the turkey!
Cranberry Sauce Ingredients: 1/2 cup orange juice
1 cup granulated sugar
8 oz. cranberries (fresh or frozen)
Again, this is a super easy recipe so you can say goodbye to canned cranberry sauce! Pour the orange juice and sugar into a medium sauce pan and cook on high until it comes to a boil. Be sure to stir so the sugar dissolves. Add the cranberries and bring the mixture back to a boil. Bring the heat down to low and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Take the mixture off of the heat, mash the cranberries and let cool. You can either serve them after cooling or transfer into the fridge overnight!
Apple Cranberry Walnut Salad Ingredients: Spring mix salad greens
Apple, thinly sliced
Walnuts
Red onions, thinly sliced
Dried cranberries
Feta cheese, crumbled
Just combine all of the ingredients into a large serving bowl and you are good to go! I typically use a balsamic vinaigrette and this salad is always a hit!
