Oh What (Christmas) Fun!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! No matter where you are this holiday season, there are so many fun things to do and see around this time. With many kids out of school, college students' home and family visiting, there are a ton of opportunities for family fun! I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Christmas traditions – that are also social distancing friendly!

Drive Thru Lights! Whether through a neighborhood known for cool lights or a light show in your town, this is such a fun family night! Get some hot cocoa, blankets and load up the car to check out holiday lights.

Watch a tree lighting. Even if you can’t make it to NYC this holiday season, most towns and cities do an annual tree lighting! A lot of times they will have a ceremony with activities too. This is a great outing for the whole family!

Donating. While many of us are fortunate enough to celebrate Christmas with loved ones and to give and receive gifts – not everyone is. This can be an especially tough time of year for some families! So giving back during the holidays can be really rewarding for your family and for the family you help! Check out local Angel Tree Program, Salvation Army, or shelters to see how you can lend a hand.

Cookie Exchange! Connect with a few neighbors or friends that also have little ones and plan a cookie exchange! It’ll be fun for the kids to create their own cookies using different cutters, frostings and colors and they will enjoy getting new cookies in return!

Make your own Ornaments. There are a million different ways to create your own ornaments! Whether you buy clear bulbs, use felt paper or throw it back to macaroni, your little ones will love seeing their creations and it will keep them busy!
